November in Interdisciplinary Life

Welcome to the November edition of the Progressive Connexions Interdisciplinary Life newsletter!

Calls for Papers

In May 2022, we are finally reconvening for in-person conferences, in beautiful Prague, Czech Republic! If you’ve been hesitating to come to a conference since the pandemic, this is the perfect opportunity — our small groups and caring team will make sure you feel safe and at home. If you have any questions about restrictions or the projected impact of the COVID situation on our events, please feel free to reach out to Rob (rf@progressiveconnexions.net) or Lorraine (lorraine@progressiveconnexions.net).

Our May 2022 events are taking place across four days, which means that if there are two events you want to go to, you can make it to both of them!

But hurry — abstracts are due in just one week, on November 26th!

From the World of Publications

A new book is available from our Emerald Interdisciplinary Connexions series! Kink and Everyday Life, ed. Teresa Cutler-Broyles and Kylo-Patrick Hart, is an interdisciplinary exploration of kink, BDSM, and non-normative sexualities, including perspectives from college campuses, to post-Communist Czech Republic, to Victorian England.

Upcoming from Emerald Interdisciplinary Connexions are two more books — Women and the Abuse of Power, ed. Helen Gavin, and Re-Imagining Spaces and Places, ed. Stefano Rozzoni, Teresa Cutler-Broyles, and Bietske Boonstra. Get excited!

We want YOU!
